What Does Ghusl (Full Ablution) Bring Into Sexual Life?
We perform ghusl because Allah commands it. That is to say, in Islam, Allah commands and the Muslim obeys this command. A Muslim does not think I am going to be clean from the dirt. He performs it because it is necessary. However, in the meantime he has been cleaned, It is possible. The main point is obeying the command. Being clean materially is a result happening later automatically.
Now I should indicate that there is also a command of keeping the body pure and clean materially as well as performing ghusl. Therefore, the one performing ghusl should do all sorts of personal cleaning; this is another aspect.
Since ghusl is a command, there are some more commands related to it. For example, fornication and drinking alcohol are illicit acts. Then, a Muslim who has obeyed the command of performing ghusl will obey the commands like do not drink alcohol, do not fornicate!
Then, a Muslim becomes junub (unclean) in two conditions: one is while having intercourse with his wife, the other is while sleeping.
Having intercourse with his wife depends on his will. He must arrange a suitable time for this and must not miss the prayer time. He should find time for ghusl, he should not be late for his work. He should not have ghusl when the weather is cold and become ill.
If can be seen that the obligation of ghusl prevents man to become junub frequently. As it is known, becoming junub frequently harms man's neural system and brain structure. Some diseases are connected with becoming junub frequently.
Additionally insanity or committing suicide is seen as well as tuberculosis and some psychiatric irregularities in people who become junub frequently. In addition, many experiences showed that it causes the human memory to weaken as well. However, linking every disaster to becoming junub is not scientific. In short, it is a reality that becoming junub frequently affects human health unfavorably.
Having a sexual intercourse during a woman's menstruation or after accouchement is illicit. Thus, both the male and female are preserved. The spermatic fluid of man is a source of energy. The body is prevented from getting weak by producing viable cells, which are difficult to produce for the male body, frequently. A males power, thoughts, and behaviors are different before becoming junub. It is more different after becoming junub. For example, a male feels himself more powerful and active, comprehends matters better. He shows interest in his wife. However, after becoming junub, those feelings become the opposite.
The female is protected by means of ghusl as well. The obligation of ghusl after becoming junub makes woman avoid from becoming junub, too. Contracting the body and the feeling of excitement and enthusiasm causes a lot of energy dissipation for a woman, too.
A balanced sexual life is a sign of a balanced human character. Negative and positive extremes in sexual life result in abnormal outcomes in behaviors.
Consequently, Allah, who created mankind, who placed suprarenal capsules in the body, who gathered the liquid called sperm in a certain place, gave the necessary orders for the best performance of the body machine, One of them is ghusl.
