Seperate Entrance

A Brief Description of the Question: 

a.s.a i have been born and brought up in the uk and got married in pakistan. i have been married for 3 years and have had trouble with my in laws. now that the troubles have gone worse and i am at my parents' home my husband has decided to build me a room on the roof of his mother's house with a kitchen and bathroom. I feel that there should be a seperate entrance so that i do not have to go through their home to get to my room. can i demand this?
