Is there a belief of Dajjal (the false messiah) in other religions?
We see in every religion whether it is Haq (true, from God) or false, that there is a struggle of good and evil. In theAncient Egyptians, the Chinese and the Hindus we see wars between a god representing the good and creatures representing the evil, and the similarity between Dajjal and the evil creatures is seen clearly here.
While belief of Dajjal takes place by meaning in the false religions, it takes place even by name in the corrupt religions. Wee see that, in the 2nd century BC, Dajjal takes personality as a cruel sovereign in Daniels book. (1) It is possible to find many other personalities who have some of Dajjals characteristics in the Old Testament and the ancient sources.

For example, Namrud is one of them. The tyrant emperor Nero of Rome was seen as a prototype of Dajjal.
Dajjal who is the opposite of the savior Messiah is described as anti-messiah by the Jews. And Dajjal is believed to be killed by the breath of the Messiah.
In the Old Testament, Dajjal of the end of time is also mentioned. The evil forces of Dajjal who destroys everything, prepares a dreadful plan, but is defeated in the end is mentioned in the book of Ezekiel. (2) Dajjal concept which also takes place in Zechariah and Joel shows itself in Daniel more clearly. Daniel sees him in person with naked eye and pictures a portrait of him. (3) This Dajjal is known as a big sovereign, commander of strong armies, who defeated three kings, and who destroyed temples.
Dajjal is specially mentioned in Christianity, too. According to St. Paul, it is one of the religious fundamentals of Christianity to believe in the coming of the Messiah in the end of time.
In the New Testament, it is told that Dajjal will appear before the second coming of Messiah and will be killed by the breath of Hazrat Eesa (Jesus/Messiah). (4)
Dajjal is mentioned as Messiah Daggala in the Matthew Bible. Meshiha Daggala is clearly mentioned in the Syrian translation of the New Testament. (5)
We see in a verse of the Matthew Bible, this is told about the false Messiah:
Students of Jesus asked what will be the sign for the end of the world. Jesus replied them: Do not let anyone turn you because many will come in my name saying I am the Messiah and will lead many astray. And many false prophets will lead many astray, and many others will lose his love because mischief will rise. Only those who withstand until the end will reach salvation. (6)
In another verse, those false messiahs are described as to be able to show big omens and wonders. (7)
In the first letter of the John Bible, Dajjal is mentioned as antichrist as the opposite of Jesus. (8)
As it is seen, in those verses Dajjal is mentioned as a community rather than a person. However, most of the Catholic theologians agree that it will be a person. (9)
In the Mark Bible false messiahs are mentioned too, they are described as to be able to show omens and wonders that can even lead selected people astray and it is advised to stay away from them. (10) Similar warnings take place in the Luke Bible too. (11)

St. Paul, in a letter that he wrote to the Thessalonians, says that the doomsday will not take place unless apostasy from the religion takes place and unless the mischief-maker man who claims to be god appears, (13) and that Dajjal will disappear with the advent of Hazrat Eesa like the darkness disappears with the rising of the sun. (14)
As it is told in the booklets of John there will appear many Dajjals who deny that Hazrat Eesa is the saver. In the book of revelation, Dajjal is mentioned as a false messiah, monster, and head of the dragon and with similar phrases. (15)
Nero was made identical with Dajjal by the Christians until the 2nd century, and the same identification was made for Hitler and Lenin in our time too. (16)
The belief that there are more than one Dajjal is dominant in Christianity too. But he Dajjal of the end of time is bigger and more dreadful than all. A Christian writer-teacher explains it this way:
There are many prototypes of Dajjal. However, one among those many Dajjals will be will be more severe than the others, and will be the one deserving its name the most. As the other ones appear in various times, this real Dajjal will appear in the end of time. (17)
As it is seen, even in the corrupt religions -despite many changes- the biggest event of the universe, the most dreadful mischief Dajjal is mentioned directly in many verses. It also confirms Prophet Muhammads saying that every prophet warned his people for the evil of Dajjal.
In addition, those verses show that there are big similarities between the Dajjal belief in Islam and the Dajjal belief in Judaism and Christianity.
