I AM GAZA!
I AM GAZA!
Bombs are raining down on me…
Bombs causing death…
My heart is hurting; every single span of my land is being painted by blood…
I am collapsing in debris; a dagger is stabbing my heart…
My breast is where hiccups mix with screams, blood and tears are brothers and the sounds of bombs meet the sirens of ambulances…
Nowadays tears are washing the faces of the women whose husbands died; they look as if they will cry forever. There are no children waiting for their fathers to come anymore because they have no fathers because the men whom they hugged will never return...
I am the place where people have no rooms to live in, hospitals are demolished and schools are bombed. I am the country where killing pregnant women are regarded as a profit and humanity are crucified…
The babies in swaddle were killed and children playing games were murdered. I was killed cell by cell; I was grabbed step by step; I was assassinated from all sides; I experienced brutal treasons and betrayals that would make devils cry. I groaned due to the pains caused by the vile tanks treading on me…
My dough was kneaded with blood; my breath is death and my soil is a graveyard… My days are darker than my nights; my spring is my winter. I am pain; I am a bleeding wound; I experience unending suffering; I am Gaza!.
I am the land of heroes dying while standing. I am sacred homeland that is not abandoned despite the risk of death and where the tree of freedom is watered by blood; I am Gaza!.
Children cry and scream in the streets: “Victory belongs to Islam. Allah is the greatest!”
Mothers put stones on their hearts instead of their babies; women wash their martyrs with their blood. Their pains increase but their hopes never fade; they feel great pains inside but never lose hope; As long as they have the strength, they say, “Victory belongs to Islam. There is no god but Allah!..”
I am the place where prayers and supplications shake the sky and where people are resurrected as they die…
I am the cause of the mothers who wipe their blood coming out of their eyes with the belief in their heart and the patience like chains of mountains, who sing their lullabies near graves and who beg Allah by crying. I am Gaza…
I am the place where young people dream of being martyrs and small children challenge oppression; I am Gaza!.
I am Gaza; what about you? Who are you? Where are you?
O Islamic world! Answer me! In which deep sleep are you? In the darkness of which heedlessness are you? Why are you invisible? Why do you not appear?
Did you not sleep long enough?!. The Quran says,
“And hold fast, all together by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves!..” (Aal-i Imran, 3/103)
When will you wake up?
How much longer will you keep your ears closed despite the warning of the following verse?
“The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: unless ye do this (protect each other) there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief.” (al-Anfal, 8/73)
The Prophet (pbuh) says:
"A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts enforce each other"(Bukhari, Salat: 88; Adab: 36; Mazalim: 5; Muslim, Birr: 65; Tirmidhi, Birr: 18; Nasai, Zakah: 67; Musnad, 4:405, 409.)
How will you dare to look at the face of Prophet (pbuh) in the hereafter?
Savagery and heedlessness destroyed us because we closed our eyes to the Quran and remained in the desert of heedlessness. We left the course of the Quran and dropped on the ground like separate water drops. If we had united in the Quranic course of happiness and salvation like united water drops, had let the water of the truths of Islam, which is like the elixir of life for the Islamic world, and had established the Islamic brotherhood with fraternity and love, we would not be in this terrible state.
We became interested in space and tried to discover the stars in the depths of space but we were not interested in knowing the neighbor downstairs. We were not interested in the following question: “Do the orphans have any food on their table?” We did not think about taking care of the poor; we were interested in ourselves and our own interests only; we got used to living egocentrically. We left one another, separated and moved away; we sometimes struggled against one another and caused mischief among us; we let our enemy called secession live. Oppressors, despots and the administrators controlled by foreigners dominated us since we always disagreed and caused secession.
The Messenger of Allah warned his ummah as follows:
"At the end of time, noxious and awesome persons like Sufyan and Dajjal (Anti-Christ) will come to rule over the godless, they will need only a small force to reduce humanity to anarchy and the vast world of Islam to slavery by exploiting the greed, discord and hatred amongst the Muslims and mankind."(Hakim, al-Mustadrak, IV/529-530; Ibn Hibban, Sahih, VIII/286.)
O people of faith! O Muslims! Come to your senses! If you want to protect your lives and to defend your rights, enter and take refuge in the citadel of the brotherhood of belief and unite. Combine your power, strength, money and mind. Give up your desires, treat your illness of hostile partisanship and end the stupidity of struggling against one another. It is the time of being the warrior of love and acting together. It is the time of displaying the civilization of Muhammad by offering the brotherhood of Islam to the humankind as a gift…
O Islamic countries and Muslim! Come together and unite!… O rulers and administrators of the Islamic countries! O distinguished people employed by destiny to play an important role in the fate of Islam! Come together and do not remain indifferent to the following lofty truth:
“The cure for the unlucky continent, glorious but unfortunate state and valuable but ownerless nation is the unity of Islam.”(Badiuzzaman Said Nursi, Mektubat (Letters), Hakikat Çekirdekleri (Seeds of Truth))
