The Youth that will rest in the Shade on the Day of Judgment

The glorious Prophet (PBUH) says the following in one of his hadiths:

“Allah will give shade to seven people  in His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His shade: a just ruler; a youth who grew up by worshipping Allah, the Mighty and Majestic; a man whose heart is attached to mosques; two men who love each other, meet and part for Allah's sake; a man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse] and who says: 'I fear Allah' (and does not commit that sin), a man who gives away money to charity secretly; and a man who remembers Allah in private sheds tears.” (Bukhari, Adhan: 4)
Though there are lessons for all people in this hadith, it is clear that there are especially parts that are related to the youth.
First of all, it is necessary to mention the Day of Judgment in short. This is such a day that people will not think of anybody other than their own souls. On that day, all people except the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will say, “My Soul, my Soul”. A person will run away from his/her mother, father, spouse and children since they may want help. The most needed thing when the sun is to be lowered one mile down will be “shade”. It is mentioned in the hadith who will be given shade on that terrific day.
The youth can enter into any of the seven categories listed here. However, becoming “a president” is not an opportunity and responsibility that all people can have, maybe only one in millions. However, from the phrase “president”, we can understand anyone who has control, authority and responsibility. In that case, many just young people can enter into the first category.
The second group is “the youth who grew up worshipping Allah”; any youth can enter into this category. A youth who keeps his/her soul away from sins, especially avoids the mischief and corruption of the age, sacrificing his/her youth in the way of Allah by not obeying his fancy and lust will attain this great news.
The following is stated in another hadith: “The superiority of a youth who has been worshipping Allah a lot since his childhood over an old person who starts to worship Allah a lot after getting older is like the superiority of prophets over other people.” (Daylami, Musnad al Firdaws)
Here, there is good news greater than the universe, happiness which is worthy of all worldly pleasures and success that is worth spending all days pass in our lives in pain. This hadith shows what a valuable treasure and a great rank to be envied “growing up by worshipping Allah” is.
The third group is “the person whose heart is attached to mosques”. If our youth performs five daily prayers and continue praying especially in congregation by overcoming all internal and external obstacles, they can feel the happiness of reaching this glad tiding already. The young whose heart is connected to mosques will worship in peace and comprehend the reality of unity and solidarity along with the consciousness of congregation. Of course, what is meant by masjids are firstly mosques. However, any place used for worshipping Allah is in this category based upon place and potential.
The fourth group is each of the two men who love each other, meet and part for Allah's sake. Young people can easily enter into this group because real friendship, selflessness, sincerity, generosity and self-sacrifice reach their peak in the period of youth. So, any youth will attain the happiness of this good news when they come together with one or two friends in the way of Allah in order to serve and work for the advancement of Islam and predominance of the Qur’an. Especially those who come together every week or even every day in the way of belief and the Qur’an are lucky people who deserve this glad tiding.
The fifth group is the man who is called by a woman of beauty and position [for illegal intercourse], and who says: 'I fear Allah' (and does not commit that sin); those who are exposed to this hard test especially nowadays are generally young people. It is always possible to be exposed to such a test especially in this age. May our Lord save any young person who comes across with such a test and enable him to pass the test by overcoming his lust.
The sixth group is “the man who gives away money to charity secretly”. It is possible and easy for our youth to enter into this group. Giving alms means to be useful or to help a believer. This can be performed with property as well as with deeds, manners or knowledge. Smiling, inquiring after health and commiserating with a person are also a kind of giving of alms. The most perfect alms is conveying the knowledge of belief and Islam to a brother who needs it.
The seventh group is “the man who remembers Allah in private and sheds tears.” In order for our youth to enter into this group, they should repent and pray Allah by shedding tears.
Thus, it is possible to gain the reward of being given shade by Allah in seven degrees by having the qualities of the seven aforementioned groups.
Then, we can immortalize our youth in the way of Allah and enter Paradise by acquiring the secret that is mentioned in the following hadiths:
An inviter will exclaim the following: “There is real health for you; you shall not become ill again. There will be life for you; you shall not die. There is youthfulness for you; you shall not get old. There is benefaction for you, you shall not be poor.” (Muslim, Paradise: 22)
“The man who goes to Paradise will not suffer poverty; his clothes will not become worn out and his youthfulness will not be exhausted.” (Muslim, Paradise: 8)
