Niyazi Beki (Assistant Professor Doctor)

He was born in Gözer village of the city of Bingöl in 1953. He learned Arabic, Persian, fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), tafsir (interpretation of the Quran), hadith (words of the Prophet), logic and other Islamic sciences. 

He went to elementary school in Üçpınar village of the city of Bingöl. After attending Bingöl High School and finishing Muş Religious High School, he graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Theology in 1984. 

He did his master's degree at Marmara University Social Sciences Institute of Tafsir and Hadith Department with his hadith book thesis called “as-Sulami and Kitabu’l-Arbain li’s-Sufiyya” (1990). 

He did his doctor's degree with his thesis called “Yirminci Asır Türkiyesi’nde Tefsirde İşaratü’l-İcaz örneği” (the Example of Signs of Miraculousness in Tafsir in the Twentieth Century in Turkey) at Sakarya University Social Sciences Institute of Tafsir Department. He worked as an official at Bingöl Health Directorate between 1976 and 1980. 

Then, he worked as an imam (1981-1988) and as a preacher (1988-93) for the Presidency of Religious Affairs. He started to work at Sakarya University Faculty of Theology in 1993; he is currently working at the Department of Arab Language and Rhetoric there.  

The first work of Beki, called Namazın Sayısal Mucizesi (Digital Miracle of Prayer), was published in 1996 and his second work called Kur’an İlimleri ve Tefsir Açısından Bediüzzaman Said Nursi ‘nin Eserleri (Works of Badiuzzaman Said Nursi in terms of Quranic Sciences and Tafsir)  was published in 1999. He was a member of the committee that translated the tafsir called “Fi Zilali’l-Qur’an”. 

He also wrote reviews and articles in various periodicals regarding Islamic sciences. He still writes articles for some periodicals. He has four children; he can speak English, Arabic and Persian.

Nevzat Tarhan (Prof. Dr.)

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was born in 1952 in Merzifon. He graduated from Kuleli Military High School in 1969. In 1975, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Cerrahpaşa. He became a specialist in psychiatric at GATA in 1982 and an associate professor in 1990. He became a colonel in 1993 and a professor in 1996. 

He taught at Yüzüncü Yıl University and was an expert for the Counsel of Forensic Medicine. He became the manager of a Neuropsychiatry center named the Memory Center. He was chairman of the Human Values and Mental Health Foundation (İDER). He organized many symposiums. He was also the editor of a magazine entitled Psikofarmakoloji. 

He was on the publishing committee of the Sleep and Hypnosis magazine. He was awarded the prize of “The Best Researcher” in Holland at the Destructive Drives and Impulse Control international congress. He has written more than 100 works, 31 of which are internationally renowned.

Cemil Tokpınar

Cemil Tokpınar, whose books have broken sales record recently, was born in Afyon, Bolvadin in 1962.

After finishing imam khatib high school there, he started Marmara University Faculty of Theology. He graduated from university in 1985.

He started to work for Yeni Nesil newspaper in 1985. He worked as a reporter, columnist and manager there for 15 years. His articles were published in periodicals called Köprü, Beyan, Moral Dünyası, Vuslat and Genç Yaklaşım.

Having written articles and books on various topics, Cemil Tokpınar focuses on the problems of youth and family, and the issue of practical solutions in practicing the religion.

He translated Jawshan, Tasbihat and Bigger Jawshan; his books entitled Işıktan Çiçekler (Flowers Made of Light), Gençlerle Biz Bize (Together with Young People) and Peygamberimizin Diliyle Gençlik (Youth with the Words of the Prophet) were published in 1996.

Adem Tatlı (Prof. Dr.)

He was born in Küçükköy, a village in Korkuteli, Antalya in 1947. He finished elementary school in his village, middle school in Korkuteli, high school at Aydın Ortaklar Teacher Training High School and Ankara Higher Teacher Training School Prep Class. He graduated from the Biology Department of Ankara University, Faculty of Science and from Ankara Higher Teacher Training School in 1970.

      He worked as a teacher at Tokat Teacher Training School in from 1970 to 1971. He started to work as a lecturer in February 1971 at Atatürk University Basic Sciences College. He became an assistant in botany in 1972. He completed his doctor's degree at Ankara University Faculty of Science in 1975. After finishing his short-term military service in 1975, he lived in Manchester, England from 1978 to 1979 to do research in his branch. He became an associate professor in 1982. He became a professor in 1988 and was appointed as the Head of the Biology Department at Selçuk University.

     He was the vice rector between 1993 and 1996 at Dumlupınar University and the dean of the Faculty of Science and Letters. He worked as the director of Dumlupınar University Health College from 1997 to 1998; he was the director of the Environmental Problems Research and Application Center between 1998 and 2004. He also worked as a member of Board of Universities, General Assembly of Credit and Dormitories Institution, executive boards and senates of various universities, faculty boards and faculty executive boards.
